What have we been up to?

January 2011

New contract awards in the North East with Bancon Construction & Morrison Construction were confirmed. These contracts will run for a period of 6 months throughout mid 2011 and combine new and traditional roofing designs and installation methods, the use of both concrete roof tiles and natural slate products will be utilised on both developments.

Re-Roofing contracts were also secured with Muirfield Contracts in Bathgate & Blackburn, Robertson Construction in Edinburgh and WH Kirkwood in Gourock.

December 2010

December saw us launch our new company Facebook page. Facebook has been a social networking phenomenon and we feel this is an excellent opportunity to interact with our clients on an informal basis, this is a very important part in the continued development and growth of our business.

We also launched our “Snow Guard” product which is installed to prevent damage to the guttering on your property, with the inclement weather experienced over the winter months the installation of this product gives the homeowner peace of mind that "when the snow is falling your gutters will be safe" Please visit our Facebook page where more information is provided.

November 2010

Through an initial pre qualification stage and a subsequent competitive tendering process we are now able to confirm that we have secured contracts totalling close to £1million with Fife Council. These works predominantly cover re-roofing and external roughcast works to a number of properties in all areas of Fife over a 6 month programme period. As Fife’s largest roofing contractor these substantial contract awards will provide continued and further employment for a number of people within the region.

February 2010

We are delighted to announce that Braisby Roofing Ltd through a competitive tendering process has been awarded the re-roofing & external wall insulation contract for the forthcoming works at Milton near Inverness. The works consist of the removal and replacement of the existing roof tiles and the installation of External wall insulation and roughcast finish. These works in the Highland region carry on from our recently completed works at Portmahomak for Stewart Milne Construction.

January 2010

Our works in the capital took a significant step forward with the completion of Phase 1 roof works to Edinburgh University. We are carrying out re-roofing works for the main contractor Mansell using a mix of reclaimed slate and imported French roof tiles.  We have also been appointed to carry out the roofing works to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery for BAM Construction UK.

December 2009

CSCS – All Braisby Roofing Ltd directors, management and site based operatives all now hold the relevant CSCS card. This card will be mandatory to allow works on construction sites throughout the United Kingdom from 2010. To achieve the card a high level of Health & Safety had to be demonstrated along with the relevant trade skills qualifications.
